College Football Betting: Pac 12 Best Bets For Week 7

The college football season shifts into Week 7, and all eyes will be on one specific Pac-12 game. There are a few other games of note in the conference as well, with UCLA and Oregon getting the weekend off in preparation for their Week 8 game on October 22. However, it all comes back to the defending Pac-12 champions versus Lincoln Riley’s new team in Salt Lake City.

USC Trojans at Utah Utes

Odds: Utah -3.5

This is the centerpiece for Week 7. USC comes into Salt Lake City unbeaten, with its defense leading the Pac-12 in points per game allowed, sacks, and takeaways. Utah is coming off a loss to UCLA in which the Utes allowed nearly 500 yards to the Bruins in a 42-32 setback. USC is having the better season thus far, but Utah is playing a home game at night and knows this is a must-win for its season.

There is more urgency on the Utah side of the matchup, but there are concerns about the Utes’ defense and the youth of that group, going up against USC quarterback Caleb Williams and running back Travis Dye, who has been terrific for the Trojans this season. Then shift to the other side of the ball, where Utah quarterback Cam Rising has not made big plays this season. He threw an interception at the goal line in the final minute of a three-point loss to Florida in Week 1. He threw a big interception and committed a devastating fumble last week against UCLA.

USC is playing better, but Utah has a lot to prove. It’s not an easy game to pick, but Utah at home is a very tough team to beat. The Utes should figure out a way to win.

Pick: Utah -3.5

Washington State Cougars at Oregon State Beavers

Odds: Oregon State -3

The Washington State Cougars have won the last eight games against Oregon State. They always seem to make the one or two extra plays needed to come up with the win against the Beavers. Oregon State has a really good roster except for one position: quarterback. Oregon State has not been able to find solutions in the passing game. Four interceptions thrown against USC cost the Beavers dearly in a 17-14 loss.

Washington State’s offense scored just 14 points last week in a loss to USC, but Cam Ward is a better quarterback than anyone Oregon State can send onto the field for this game. That will make the difference for the Cougars in this road game in Corvallis.

Pick: Washington State +3

Arizona Wildcats at Washington Huskies

Odds: Washington -14.5

The Washington Huskies are unbeaten at home, but they just lost two straight games on the road and looked horrible, especially on defense. Last week, Washington gave up 45 points to an Arizona State team which was led by its backup quarterback. The Huskies obviously have a lot to fix on defense, and going up against Arizona quarterback Jayden de Laura doesn’t figure to be an easy task for the UW defense. However, Arizona has allowed 49 points in two of its last three games.

The matchup against Washington’s offense looks like a mismatch. Washington wins, but Arizona scores enough points to stay close. BookMaker seems to have the best price on the dog right now and make sure you check the full BookMaker review if you don't have an account at that sportsbook yet.
